On Saturday, February 12th our first medical and dental mission took place at the Pilipog gym for the children at the Albert Schweitzer Orphanage. Volunteers from Bigfoot Foundation and nurses, dentists and doctors from the Empuerto Dental Clinic and the Mactan area all joined together to bring a day of care, love and fun to over 60 children and adults from the Pilipog community and Albert Schweitzer Orphanage. With just over $200 in fundraising, we were able to cover the cost of food, drinks, hygiene care and basic medicine such as paracetamol, pain reliever and medicines for cough, colds and stomachaches. We were fortunate enough to have a few camera operators come out and capture the event. They even let the children use the cameras, which we will get the opportunity to show you their film skills once all the footage is edited!
Thank you to everyone who made it out to volunteer and spend time with the children. A very special thanks to the Rhema Creatives and the whole crew who made it happen.
